We've had flooding, snow, freezing rain, hail, and then sixty degrees and sunny. But here at the keyboard its more of the lovely same. I've been playing my my imaginary friends all week. They are a feisty bunch. Spring does make me feel more creative for some reason. How about a flash fiction surprise story? Here goes... THE ECLIPSE His past was dark. So was his future. Or so he thought until everything changed. But then in a surprise attack, the sun rose before him and blocked out his darkness and for the first time his heart was light and filled with joy. Not noticing the darkness that had fallen behind him. Only then did he understand how much he loved the dark. And how much it had once loved him. Well, that didn't go where I expected. One of my favorite anime shows features a character that manifests black butterflies with his demonic power. I loved the show and character enough to borrow the concept just a bit.
